Oslo DiRosaria

Oslo | Owner | Lead Curator | Artist

Oslo DiRosaria (They/Them) has been an active creator and artist in the New Orleans area for more than a decade, having displayed their works both locally and Nationally. Getting their start at local art markets, Oslo would tow their art to the markets in a home-made basket behind their bike. As Oslo continued frequenting the local markets, they quickly became known in the New Orleans art community for their colorful, (and sometimes macabre) work. DiRosaria used the money made from local markets to travel and explore the United States, presenting their work at markets in more than 25 states, and various galleries.

DiRosaria has always had a passion for both art and design and has worked in multiple different outlets of artistic expression, including construction and design, interior consulting, and of course creating the art pieces you know and love. DiRosaria even worked on designing and building two of their family’s personal homes as well as a boutique motel they own and operate with their partner, Cyrus Giroir. DiRosaria isn’t just the lead curator, they are also one of the permanent artists on display at Boxcar Gallery, so be sure to check out their unique works both in person and online.

Now relocated to Amsterdam, NL, DiRosaria has continued their expanding art career and looks forward to showcasing new works, artistic styles, and experiences.

Cyrus Giroir III

Cyrus Giroir, Louisiana Native and co-founder of Boxcar Gallery. Giroir (he/him) has a long and multifaceted past when it comes to sales in the French Quarter, having stores open in both the French Quarter and Riverwalk that were subsequently closed due to lasting impacts from hurricane Katrina in 2005. eventually moving his businesses to New York, Giroir never left the south where both his heart and family lived. In Meeting current partner, (business and otherwise), DiRosaria in 2021 Giroir reignited his love for art and creativity embarking on numerous paths of both woodworking, art, and design.

Now Relocated to Amsterdam with his partner, Oslo he is working on honing his craft with wood and furniture and is learning new skills in the areas of upholstery, leather and latex.
